Driver Door Window Switch Not Working

So last night i tackled the job.

Driver door window switch not working.

I thought this was the sign of a dead regulator so i replaced that. The switch for the passenger window does work though as well as the power locks and power mirror adjusters so i know the door has power. 2 using an ohmmeter test driver door switch for. I used a cordless driver with a 10mm socket to speed thing up.

When passenger windows don t work but the driver s window does chances are high that you ve got a bad master switch in the driver s door or a broken wire in the driver s door hinge area. All other windows work fine. All the wiring for driver s and passenger s windows runs through the master switch. So much easier to work with than the old scissor mechanisms.

Is this your first time dealing with this issue. Not having a door trim for a month or so now was getting annoying. No arm rest no door pocket dangling window switch. Remove the old unit and installing the new was a breeze.

I know that the new one works because i tested it on the passenger side which does work. The first thing you need to do is to check for. Power window motors only have two wires. I replaced the switch and window still doesn t work.

I put 12v directly to the motor and it functions just fine. The driver side window was stuck down and all door locks would not work all the other windows went up and down as they should but still no drivers window or door locks.
